For over 25 years, Bella Isla has been part of Chelsea’s dining scene. When the Baez family took ownership over six years ago, they continued its legacy with a deep love for Puerto Rican culture, family, and homemade food.
Inspired by Ana Baez’s lifelong passion for cooking, every dish is made with bold island flavors, generous portions, and the warmth of home. From mofongo and pernil to empanadillas and traditional comfort plates, Bella Isla brings a true taste of Puerto Rico to the Chelsea community.

Most authentic Puerto Rican food I’ve had in 3 years of living in the surrounding cities of Boston. You can tell their food is made with love for the cuisine. Their pernil is delicious, their roasted chicken is amazing, the mofongo is to die for. And their customer service is top notch. You will genuinely feel like a piece of the island is here, and that is something to really appreciate. Also pan sobao!!

I have never been to Puerto Rico the country physically. I've been to Puerto Rico gastronomically🤤Listen, these dishes did not miss a beat. The flavors did not miss, the options were all there. I ordered to do a take out but I could not wait to dive in my meal, I had to take a seat. The price was very affordable, it was a home cooked meal. Other patrons commended their fall off the bone ribs, which in my mind was a fact, good. Yellow rice with roasted pork and chicken was on point. Can't wait to go to their new location.
